This weekend a 24 year old dream of mine finally came true!<\/strong><\/p>\n

24 years ago, my best friend in the world disappeared<\/strong> one
\nday from school and never returned.<\/p>\n

It was a tragedy for me.<\/em><\/p>\n

I can still clearly remember the moment it happened:<\/strong><\/p>\n

We were in gym class playing Dodge Ball when our school
\nsecretary walked in and told my childhood best friend, of 7
\nyears, that her mother was there to pick her up to take her
\nto a doctor’s appointment.<\/p>\n

I didn’t even have a chance to say good-bye<\/strong> to her as the
\nball was coming my way and I had to catch it or be hit by it
\nhard!<\/strong><\/p>\n

Then it was weekend, so I didn’t think much about my friend
\nbeing taken out of school.<\/p>\n

But by Monday, I noticed that she had not returned.<\/strong><\/p>\n

By Wednesday, I called her home to see if she was ill.
\nHer father told me she wasn’t feeling well and would stay
\nout of school for a while.<\/p>\n

After about a week, my parents told me that I would probably
\nnever see her again<\/strong> as her mother had taken her and her two
\nsisters away from their father and they would not be coming
\nback.<\/p>\n

They were on the run.<\/strong><\/p>\n

I went into a deep depression for the first time of my life,
\nI was only 11 years old.<\/em><\/p>\n

My parents really didn’t know how to help me. I felt lost.
\nI didn’t know if she was alright or if she was even alive.<\/strong><\/p>\n

After about 2 months, I was called into my principal’s
\noffice and told that she was in British Columbia but that he
\nwas not allowed to tell me which school.<\/p>\n

This disappearance haunted me for years and really affected
\nmy own perception on life.<\/strong><\/p>\n

After about 6 months, I decided that I would probably find
\nher again when I was 35 years old.<\/strong><\/p>\n

I didn’t know what the “law of attraction”<\/strong><\/a> was, so I didn’t
\nrealize what I had subliminally caused into action<\/strong> that day
\nthat I made that desperate decision.<\/p>\n

Now fast forward 23 years:<\/strong>
\n<\/strong>
\nAfter many failed attempts<\/strong> at finding my long lost best friend,
\nI found myself sitting on an airplane headed back to Canada for
\na long year and a half vacation to give my husband and children
\nthe gift of truly experiencing a real Canadian year!<\/p>\n

I had been learning about the power revealed in the movie,
\n“The Secret”<\/a><\/strong> and had already started to put what I had
\nlearned into motion.<\/p>\n

So I decided,<\/strong> while on that long plane ride from New Zealand
\nto Canada, that I would spend my time envisioning my reunion <\/strong>
\nwith my long lost best friend.<\/strong><\/p>\n

I imagined her driving up to my birthday bon-fire party and
\nfinally being able to give her a great big hug.<\/strong><\/p>\n

A few weeks after arriving in Canada I did have a birthday
\nbon-fire party but no long lost best friend showed up.<\/strong>
\n
\n<\/strong>I had forgotten that you need to give it time to make the law
\nof attraction<\/strong> <\/a>work for you.<\/p>\n

You can’t expect immediate returns<\/strong>, you just need to conceive<\/strong><\/em>
\nthe idea, believe<\/strong><\/em> it will come true, give it time and then happily
\nreceive<\/strong><\/em> your rewards at the end.<\/p>\n

So fast forward 8 months:<\/strong><\/p>\n

I find her big sister<\/strong> on http:\/\/www.facebook.com\/<\/a>, Incredible!<\/em><\/p>\n

Then she gives my long lost best friend’s phone number.<\/p>\n

I call her up and we have an incredible teary, happy,
\nemotionally charged, conversation and make plans to meet up
\nthat weekend. (I’m only still 34 years old).<\/strong><\/p>\n

But no such luck,<\/strong> she cancels on me due to family
\nobligations.<\/p>\n

No worries, we try again.<\/p>\n

And we fail again!<\/strong>
\n<\/strong>
\nThen I leave the country for a month and then go traveling
\nthrough the Canadian Maritimes for another month. So still
\nno catch up.<\/p>\n

Then days before my next (incredibly delayed – by two
\nmonths) birthday bon-fire I email her asking if she would
\nlike to come.<\/p>\n

I don’t get a reply.<\/p>\n

Then the day before I get a reply, she is coming!<\/strong><\/p>\n

But she doesn’t show up.<\/p>\n

So I quickly check my emails during my party as it gets
\nlater and later…<\/p>\n

Yes, and email from her. She is sorry to say that she is
\nlate BUT she IS still coming!<\/strong><\/p>\n

Then she arrives.<\/p>\n

We finally get to meet each other, in person, after 24 long
\nyears of waiting, and guess what?<\/strong><\/p>\n

I’m 35 years old<\/strong> AND we’re meeting for the very first time
\nat my birthday bon-fire party!<\/em>
\n
\n<\/em>Talk about the “Law of Attraction”<\/a><\/strong> in motion!<\/p>\n

My point?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Create your goals, clearly state<\/strong> and imagine what you
\ndesire. Then trust in your heart<\/strong> that it will manifest, and
\nthen enjoy the moment<\/strong> when your dream arrives.<\/p>\n

I did!<\/p>\n

But beware…<\/strong>
\n<\/strong>
\nThe “Law of Attraction”<\/a><\/strong> is always<\/em> working, whether you know
\nit or not. So make sure you create your thoughts the way you
\nwish them to be.<\/em><\/p>\n

Don’t make yourself have to wait 24 years like I did!<\/strong><\/p>\n
